Sun is shining!

So its finally Summer and

I'm so glad that its finally hot! I took the little princess out for a walk a couple of days ago. She LOVED IT! She loves the sun and the beautiful flowers and the hot weather. Best part of it all. After her summer walk she was tired and was ready for a nice long peaceful nap :) Being outdoor is great for little ones they love the beautiful colors and the warm weather. Just dont forget the sunscreen!

a little off track...

So I've been thinking today....I initially wanted to write a blog about being a mommy and discuss all that comes along the way of parenting. Although I want to still talk about the everyday random stuff, I wanted to my brain to be out there for new moms and moms-to-be to pick on and share my knowledge of whatever I've learned through pregnancy and what I'm learning on a day to day basis with the little princess. Alright so I haven't been able to write all that I've been wanting to write because of the current highlight of my life (other than the princess of course because she's always the highlight) has been purchasing a home. So that process is almost complete...yay! We still have a coupleof months before we move...that means its time to start thinking about decorating plans. Anyhow before all that, I'd like to jot down some topics that I want to be able to write about in the near future.
- My birth story
- Postpartum
- infant excema/cradle cap
- Breastfeeding
- Traveling with an infant
- Going back to work
- A road to becoming a homeschooling mom
...and anything else that pops into my mind!

well......hopefully I'll get to dig into my mind and journal soon so that I can start writing on these topics soon...for now I feel a little less clutter in my mind because I have these topics now in my blog and I'm ready to write!

property Virgins

I always knew that purchasing a house is not an easy task. There is a lot of fine print to worry about and a lot of tiny details to consider. You always have to be at the top of your game making sure you know what the next move could be. So the great news is that our offer was accepted and we will finally be purchasing a condo that we LOVE!!! but there was a price to pay and not just the monetary value...the first few days plus the time until the final approval, documentation, deposit, closing, etc. are not very pleasant. We werent sure that our offer will actually be accepted but it was and the funds were not ready for deposit...and that scared me a lot! Anyhow in the end it worked out. There is still a lot to do and I will try stay calm buy pouring my thoughts here!

Playing the waiting game.....

We actually found a place we like...we love it...its convenient...very clean with new appliances etc. We have made an offer...its actually our second offer and now we're waiting for their response. We seem to have a chance on this one. Ok so the problem is......I HATE WAITING....I have now realized it more than ever....I hate it....this is reminding me of the time when I applied for colleges and was waiting to get accepted. I get all nervous and uneasy....and my mind gets completely occupied with thoughts only concerning what I'm waiting for. I start to get in to the next steps eventhough I dont even have a positive decision yet. I did the same thing back when I was waiting on college apps. It sucks to wait if its out of my control!

Shopping around!

Not the kind of window shopping I love...I mean I think that I can actually call myself shopaholic...ok maybe not as intense as Isla Fisher but I can go to a fantasy land )where I'm completely stress free) when I shopbut I know how to control myself. Ok so that's not the kind of shopping I'm talking about today. This is where actual decision making and careful consideration of many little details is involved. I'm talking about shopping for a home. As I mentioned in my last post, hubby and I are currently looking to finally buy our own place. I'm so excited to finally go ahead and buy but there are times when I think it tougher than I thought. There is a lot to think about...for instance today we looked at two properties. One had a lot of upgrades and obviously the price tag was up there too but the other was a similar condo without the upgrades and the price was a lot less. I mean there is a lot out there. People spend a little bit of money on fresh appliances, lights, paint etc. and put a high price on it eventhough their upgrades dont even cost that much. I'd rather just buy the simple one and upgrade it myself. But I guess its not that simple. Anyhow I'm on the path to buy...wish me luck!

Ahhh the peace........

I love this peace and quiet when a baby (who crawls constantly and tries to grab on things and stand the whole day) sleeps! OK....so I actually thought I'll write everyday...I was so ready and soo excited to start blogging...but it didn't turn out that way. Well although I'm sad about not having so much time to blog I've been doing a lot...which feels really good...and for some odd reason my mind is so at peace these days. Maybe its the weather which is nice during this transition from spring to summer and the great thing is that the days are longer. Whatever it is I feel things are running smoothly, eventhough I have soooo much going on. My hubby is currently trying to pay more attention to his career as a freelance designer while working full time and I'm trying to help him out a little. Plus we're shopping around for a new house. And I go back to work in less than 2 months which I'm still not sure about. Let's see how things turn out. I just hope I get to blog more regularly :-s Well my little princess is now almost 8 1/2 months. She loves to get all excited and scream. Plus she loves to give love to people which is so funny. I went somewhere where she had a chance to interact with other kids mostly a little old than her and all she wanted to do was give them hugs and they were alll so confused. She loves to give love...and I love that about her :)

First step into the bloggers' world

Wow...Finally my first blog! :) I am a proud mommy of an 8 month old beautiful little girl. Through this blog, I want to be able to share my experiences of being a mommy, with other new moms, moms to be, and anyone else who can relate. I'm a muslim and a Hijabi who loves being trendy and in-style! My faith is very dear to me and it is incorporated in every aspect of my life. My interests include showering my baby with kisses, reading mommy blogs, online shopping, hijab styles and fashion, home decorating, lazy afternoons...and so much more. Plus there are many random interests such as ice cream, bread & cheese, and shopping:) My little girl is the most interesting person I've ever known...she is quite the little diva...and she can be the sweetest little angel while being a little sneaky and mischevious too. I have a wonderful husband, who is my best friend and my biggest support. The best thing about us is that we make eachother laugh...like crazy:). Currently I'm a stay-at-home (on maternity leave) mom, enjoying each and every joyous moment of mommyhood. I'm also contemplating on a very important decision. Whether or not I should go back to work (I'm due to go back in Aug btw). I dont want to miss the very important moments that I'm so looking forward to in my little girl's life. Anyhow, this is something I'd like to get other people's opinion on as well. So I'll definitely share this issue with you all soon. Through this blog I'd like to share my day to day adventures with my little one, my faith and spirituality, and anything else I find interesting.
P.S. I can't believe I took so long to start blogging, it feels great!:)
